Erosion Control
The following Best Management Practices (BMPs) are for Erosion Control. The goal of Erosion Control is to stabilize the disturbed area to limit sediment becoming dislodged and in motion. The use of an organic material, such as compost, is often used to vegetate the area and reduce open soil. These BMPs use a natural GrowthMedia™ (a lab tested soil/compost mix) to help establish quick germination of vegetation and then provide sustainable growth. Seed is injected during the installation using blower truck technology. The seed varieties used can be altered, depending on the site requirements.
